My brother, is the one who I hold dear
even in times, when I'm not crystal clear
he's always ready to listen and hold my hand
for he is a brother, that will understand
that through the madness, when life gives me stress
I may explode, and not alway be at my best
but nothing I say, is to hurt him in anyway
I often speak with out thinking, but that's my way
to work on the way I handle it, is all I can do
and make sure he knows, it's his strength that helps me through
so no matter what I may say, he will always know
that through it all I LOVE HIM, even though at the time it may not show
we will not always agree, and everyday may not be good
but life, works out just the way it should
to understand, even when your sister is having her worse day
a simple just talk to me, will often smooth the way
let me vent, instead of storing anger for another day
understand my need to get it out of me
because that is my own personal therapy
when things are misunderstood, often saying nothing is best
because this life to me, is just one great big test
of our strength and weakness and our ability to cope
but as long as we recognize and admit the mistakes there is always hope
my brother, who is closer than a friend,
will not take it personal, and still love me in the end

| I have not the will and justification to render a technical criticim of this piece.. I am filled up with the emotions it has erupted in me and I understand both the poem and the poet and I love them both. Thanks for doing this for all to know and learn from. This makes the difference! |
