Halfway to heaven found a trail of tears Tried to turn back but I am stuck right here My feet are leading me slowly towards the fire I have no choice but to respond to this twisted desire My body trembles for you, my heart screams stay back My head says the last place I want to be is where you’re at My pulse is quicker, I am dizzy inside I have to make the right move or else lay down and die Dare I pull you close and surrender to this heat Let you burn me again and accept my defeat? Or turn and run, hoping like hell you don’t follow Meet the ends of the Earth before my pride I swallow.
