"Oblivious"
Whenever your around You make it for me safe and sound We would laugh and cry Say wed be together till we died With you I act myself Youre the one who knows what Im really about I think Im in love, and thats without a doubt Im the one you cant live without Im the one who is always by you Im even the one star struck when I see you You were perfect so I thought I saw your flaws Bur never fought Oblivious is how you make me feel So unlikely not even real I feel Im in a fantasy land You and me hand in hand When I speak you tell me that Im cute I wanna throw my arms around you I undergo a heartbroken moment As soon as I see Im without Oblivious is how you made me feel So unlikely not even real I feel my fantasy land disappear Then my fear starts to appear

I was never involved in poetry much until I started posting things here. I read things from time to time, but mostly stick with fantasy-type poems. I sympathize with what ever happend between you and who your writing this about. Im going to say what I said to Erin (the one I was talking to when I wrote sleeps and sheeps). At one point please try to write something light, stop thinking about heavy moments for a little while and write something happy. I hope this doesn't sound insensitive, but things dont always have to be dark...ive noticed alot of people here write some depressing things related to love troubles...and if writing helps ease the pain then write dark if you must...but perhaps if you write something light you will in turn feel light as well. As for the poem...unfortunatly I am not a critic....I thought it was well written and I like how you called your happy times fantasy land. |
