I am but a simple poet
Without great wisdom or insight
Writing only what I percieve
To be wholesome and right
I do not use great flowing words
As they find no place in me
I paint with a simple brush
Upon the canvas of honesty
Should you listen closely
To the words I write each day
My only desire is truly
You might hear them say
" Love is an awesome gift "
" Not meant to be complicated or wrong "
" It's the essence of our creator "
" The beauty of His song "
If in this simple truth
Your heart has found some joy
Then give God the credit
For it's simply His words I employ
