The house goes quiet
Except for the weeping of a broken heart
A drunk passes out
Now the fear floats away
The smile creeps back on a face
I still say in my room
I can read my bible with no fear
But instead pray
I hid in my quiet place
Visit with God
Lord hear my prayer
Help me understand
Hug me
Take me
Stay with me until the pain goes away
Help me love him
But his love hurts
I dont want it
Or need it
Please lord

| I've just posted "Father" today.... and was taken aback by how similar your write was in places. I understand "all goes quiet".... I used "numb and silent" throughout my peice. It struck a cord. Very good write! |
