Yes, I think you do.
Dark and danceless,
Sticky, shy feet.
I'm waiting....I said.
But I tapped a tune for one
To quickly follow
Wherever.
And you took me.
Funny how it was,
How I'd do it all again
Tomorrow.
How I'd run to Galway
In hot pursuit of you,
To fall asleep in your arms
Neath a new county's stars and dreams,
Just to lie with you
And sink into
The depths of your unknown,
Ever willing to discover.
And it's clearer still,
Our nights together
With wishes for each other.
Never more wanting
And not
You to go.
You breathe into mine
Time after...
And please forgive me if I forget
What it was like
Before I knew
The beat and rhythm
Of all you own of me now.
But I won't,
Don't worry,
Forget to recall
The shared beauty
That's with me,
In me still,
That's waiting to find itself,
A continent's creation,
That we'll discover yet
And remember
Ever after.
