I am under attack again my love I'm just in your way,
I have no resolutions, or clever words to say
and still if I yell at the top of my lungs
can it ever be the same?
I'd fly you a flag, bury this pen in my veins
I want to feel through you tonight
But I wont make you, cant make you
Scream my name just one more time
Are you thinking of me while sitting at home?
I want to make you love me, but cant,
The best thing to do
Is leave you alone.
You have been on my mind since last july,
Funny when I find the words to say I love you,
But to that I can not find a reply
Dont know how to show you, but I cant make you, wont make you.
Its been days now, to be here like this
Just to lay you down, just to taste your lips
Just to keep me up, I'm tired of sleeping
Just to lay inside of you, and to know this feeling.
I want you to love me, what can I do
So close to love that is new
Will you know you love me? Will you?
I can tell you, but I cant make you, wont make you!
It might be another lonely night here at home
The stars are coming out in waves
I miss my love so close to being far away
But I am too scared to call today.
One day we just might be,
not sure now though what to say
I would hide behind the shadows I cast for me,
If it only would mean you would stay.
But I wont make you, I cant make you!

| I know exactly how you feel because I too am in the same situation, I'm trying to get him to come back to me, but like your poem says... I can't make him... So I sit and I hope, but I don't put my life on the shelf just for him though, even though I'd like to. |
