''Lovebirds''

Contributed by fairy-of-ice on Tuesday, 18th May 2004 @ 07:45:04 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

She flew like never before just
to be alongside you, breathe in
your prescence.
No hesitance as you always
were the desired target.

She hoped to rest her tired wings in yours
as you delivered your ever hypnotising performance, of love.

She broke her freedom, love of
speech as she sang to you: louder,
higher, sweeter, faster than any other,
ever before.
Her song to you, her revelation.

She built a nest, the best, home
for you to call your own. A dream
come true, she thought you felt it too
but dreams were never meant to last.

She awoke to the rain, oh the pain
she must have gained as you left
with the rest as you tarnished her nest,
her love, her dream.
She just wasnt what she seemed...

Thats what you sang as in the
distance I listened to your story,
whilst glowing with glory,
knowing that I would be next...
