If dreams are God's gift to men
and some dreams can come true
I'd force myself to sleep all day
so I could dream of you
If wishes were God's gift to men
and I was given two
I'd wish that I could gain your love
and give the other wish to you
If my heart was a little gift
that I could give away
I'd put next to yours
where it would always stay
But dreams are only dreams
and wishes don't come true
and my heart is not mine to give away
it belongs to you.
