Doors

Often times when the door of happiness slams in our faces,
We do not see that other door.

The door of hope, hidden behind our own ignorance.
But it is there, we just don't take the time to see it.

When the door of happiness has been so rudely slammed in our faces,
We often fight and cry and complain instead of searching for those other doors.

The doors of hope, intelligence, kindness.
The doors of experimenting, trying again, new beginnings.

All those doors are right in front of us.
And after a while, they all inevitably end up at the same place- the door of happiness.

So you see, when the door of happiness closes,
It will open again.

Take a dare, be brave, and try those other doors.
You'll be amazed at what they may bring.

All we need to do is stop being so selfish and self centered.
We need to expand our horizons.

When we do, we will see the doors.
The many, many doors.

And we will travel on.
But the major step is to not stand there when a door slams in our faces.

Of course it will be a shock.
And it will hurt, too.

But remember, when one door closes,
There are at least six more that are open.
