A Little Hope

Hope...
We all need a little hope
It's the expectation of something desired
Or something to be fulfilled
But... have you ever really thought about it?
What is... hope?
Is hope... staring out of a window wondering if
There is a point to living life?
Is hope... looking into the past with a new light
So that you can look into the future and not cry?
Is hope... trying to reach beyond what is
So that you can grasp what will be?
Is hope... being a blessing to someone in need?
Is hope... looking for a way out of the darkness
Only to find that you are afraid to step into the light?
Is hope... trusting someone that you don't even know?
Is hope... giving love to someone everyday, in everyway
And not counting its cost?
Is hope... something that can be lost?
Is hope... reaching out to a friend
And just being there for them?
Is hope... leaning on someone when you need support?
Is hope... something that you can give to each other?
Is hope... something that's prayed for by a mother?
Is hope... life?
Is hope... love?
Is hope... the simple things that are sent from above?
And now for that all important question...
Is hope... a man named Jesus Christ?
As I said in the beginning...
We all need a little hope!
Do you know what I've found hope is...?
Hope... is life
Hope... is love
Hope... is the simple things that are sent from above
Hope... is an unborn child
Hope... is an unanswered prayer
Hope... is an unseen hand that's filled with care
Hope... is many things, many shapes, many forms
Do you know what real hope is?
Real hope... is true faith in our Lord Jesus Christ!
As I said before...
And I'll say it again...
WE ALL NEED A LITTLE HOPE!

Dear Kid Poet,
This is a marvelous poem. Without Hope Mankind would simply die. We need hope to live each day.....or what's use. Especially as you put it......hope in what? None other than Jesus Christ.......just look what he did for us?
Beautifully written with much meaning,
and thank you so much for your nice comments on my poems.
