she flies with raven wings
black as the night
and like this mysterious bird
she sings
while taking flight
into the darkness
where it is warm
and welcoming
though it does her no harm
the raven is right at home
and yet
so alone
she flies with raven wings
never looking back
never losing track
never thinking of what might lack
she flies as sure as the moon does shine
into the darkness
with wings of black
it is there she finds a place to land
on a face
holding hands
and dies
to understand
while taking shape
with the sand.
