I hate it when youre right
Its always as if you know exactly what I mean
Holding back tears is a fight
But its because of you
Yet you never made me sad
So how is it that everything Ive ever believed in,
Shattered at my feet
And you slowly lead me away from broken pieces
And you silently cry with me
And you gently wipe my tear away
And you know
You know what it is to cry
And it ***** scares me
Remember when I never used to cry in front of you?
So how do I tell the truth?
When deep down you know?
That when I look around me whenever were together
Im actually checking
The world hasnt fallen apart
Checking both feet are still on the ground
Was that a smile on your face?
A knowing look in your eyes?
Was that comfort when you held me?
Was that a tear that just rolled down my cheek?
I couldnt tell
We both hide it so well
I couldnt think clearly, holding back tears
In fear of losing everything I never deserved
I never deserved you
Yet you stand by my side
So was that a beat coming from my heart?
Was that you, loving me back?
