World of Razor Blades

Contributed by NirvanaLotus on Friday, 21st May 2004 @ 02:15:45 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

*************************************
In the world of broken cuts and razors blades
it's hard to see what exactly is real.

Would you accept me if I was true?
Some things you just can't answer.

I mean how would you know until it happened.
You know,
every one wants to be loved.

The kid in the corner with the pills needs a hug.
The one in the mirror with a gun needs a kiss.
The girl over the toilet needs to be held.
And the last little boy with words written on his skin needs to be touched.

In a world filled with razor blades
Seems true humanity fades.

A hug, a helping hand, a word of love
To many curses at these people
That they are betraying the man above.
That they will rot 'less they pray at the steeple.

Foolish children play at their game
well those in need slowly wane.

This is absolutely astonishing...

"The kid in the corner with the pills needs a hug.
The one in the mirror with a gun needs a kiss.
The girl over the toilet needs to be held.
And the last little boy with words written on his skin needs to be touched. "

Such caring words.... Great write..

Jenni
