Love is a Sickness

Contributed by TeenageEmoGirl on Friday, 21st May 2004 @ 11:05:33 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

i never quite realized
how exactly weak i am
i bend and break to fit your mold
a mistake, im just left broken.
i hold back tears while you hold her close
i hold back screams when i want you the most
but how can i be real,
when you only like the fake me?
sleepless nights spent
fighting a split personality
half says go on, forget him, it's through
while the other half craves feeling this blue
im lost for words
because you are a unique
piece of Gods work, a freak
of nature, of art,
a hidden masterpiece.

I really liked this poem. As a reader I sensed pain and despair. Is that why it was written?

Nice poem. Conveyed your feelings very well. I know the place you are at, and I know it's terrible
