Wasn't Myself
I wasn't myself I was acting Just for you
But I realize That you've fallen For a nonexistent They never existed
How can I reveal The truth after this The lies and hiding You've fallen For another person
I don't know What to do anymore How to tell you What you need to know
The love runs deep In deceit
I wasn't myself But it will be you To pay the price For my mistake I have the debt to pay

Ouch. This reminds me of the actor I wrote about in "The Actor" (which I posted today but wrote quite a while ago). He sometimes seems to show remorse for what he's done...but that's really rare. Usually, he just goes after other girls... there are countless others that he's done this sort of thing to.
Great write. It flows well. I like the poem and I'm glad you've never actually done that.
Bravo and encore.
Love,
Chelsea |
