We fell victim early on
Though we tried to keep safe
The virus crept in on us
Potent, wicked
Poison
With the fever raging
We pulled covers up over us
Weakness overcomes us
Pitiful, awful
Poison
Wasted nearly away
Hearts thumping with it
Ever desperate we
Powerful, evil
Poison,
Succumbing we are
It becomes too unbearable
We give up ourselves
Poignant, devious
Poison
