Governing Body

Contributed by randomised_dreams on Monday, 24th May 2004 @ 04:41:05 PM in AEST
Topic: political

So.
The sun sets
The sun rises
and there's nothing we can do
to stop the system
it just keeps going
and going
and going
Until one day

Darkness.

Blackened skies and
endless nights
or is it so?
Maybe it is not
Maybe the system
is wrong
Maybe it needs to be
abolished
Taken away
Replaced with something
more efficient
That's always there

Always bright

Are we too hopeful
to wish for such a world
Is this a dream
yet to be realised
or just another shattered
constitution,
an illusion?
Time ticks
quicker then slower
then quicker
And there they are
Shouting lies
Spreading fallacies
All over the world
Just as the sun sets
and the sun rises

Again and again.

"Perserverance produces hope
that does not let you slip off the slope.
Light shines and reveals its glory
as the ages roll on and we hear their stories.
I have never seen the righteous begging bread.
I have never seen a time of pitch blackness,
even when streets ran with blood red,
hope was always there to uphold them.
It is no different now as back then;
Indivisuals live lives that make the differance.
Governments will come and go and fade.
Righteousness endures forever even in the times of this age!
