Granddaughter
As my eyes gaze upon you granddaughter
I see the radiance beauty with in your smile
Youre like a delicate rose bud
Just waiting for the moment for the petals to open
Youre like a beautiful butterfly fluttering your wings
Youre like a young sparrow ready to fly
But the mother keeps you with in the nest
Because the mother sparrow always knows best
Dont be in a hurry like most young people are
Follow your dreams reach for the stars
Travel the world near and far
God gave you talent dont waste this gift
Let the world see the beauty
With the stroke of your brush
Youll Adventure out when the time is rite
Than you can spread your wings
My granddaughter and the world will see
The rose bud as it opens its delicate petals
And you become the beautiful rose
You were meant to be
For ever and always loved
