An opening to the doorway, Whose light compels me to proceed, But where?
Confusion Runs through my head Like a doe
Trapped in the deepest hollows of a raging fire. It escapes my grasp And ruins me.
Seductress, Whose alluring breath Succumbs the innocent to obedience,
Are you threatened? She plots, carefully, my demise. Enticed by her loathsome caress,
I aimlessly follow. The crowd mesmerizes me, As the fruit taunts my feeble spurning.
Succulently whispering my name, In the calming breeze Of her temptuous breath,
She hisses, "Come, desire rules you" And so I do.
Led by the strings of my mind's desires I, the "Servant", minister amiss, Willfully.
Here I stand, torn Between desire and compulsion, Confusion and knowledge,
By the opening to the doorway Whose light compels me to proceed. But which do I choose?
