want to be a happy girl
but burden comes a knock knock knockin
at my window
every time he sees a smile
rush in the back door.
happy girl
just want to be a happy girl
who could ask for
anything more?
but pain comes a tapper rapper rapping
at my window
everytime he sees laughter
sprint in the back door.
happy girl
will i ever be a happy girl?
won't ask this time
for fear i'll never know.

Happiness is a stretch. Sometimes it's better to reach for contentment which allows a little more for ups and downs. Just a thought. I know the feeling though. I've been prone to depression myself.
