"The start of a friendship" some one says
They know how much I want to be one
so the stories begin on an unwritten page
the ideals and things that become us.
So do you want a blank page
a partition to write on of our escapades?
How we argued and growed;
how good faith was bestowed
and some one else looks on and reads it.
Why should I make things easy
if you know so much about me?
Why can't we struggle
like every other animal in life?
When things are bought
and incur no cost
the value of them are just ice!
So I fill another page in this volume
and another comes wanting more.
He says "Give me your heart
that love may impart
good will and godspeed between us
