Some days she just wants to check out
To be rid of the demons
They haunt her at night
She tries to stay high
To escape all the pain
To stay numb
So she doesn't have to feel again
Then she look at the little boy
She calls him her own
He has decided to call her mom
She is thankful for
The unconditional love he shows
He's the reason
She wakes every morning
He's the one
Who keeps her going
She wants to give him the world
His life full of hope and promise
Never empty words
