I never thought I could
I never felt like I should
Why was it so disconcerning
Why was I so afraid
What did I have to do
What did I have to say
I don't think I like this
but I know I like you
There was never a barrier
Never a force so strong
Could hold me back from this
No vast land of wind
could carry me away
Theres no way that
YOU COULD KEEP ME
away from you...
Theres nothing they can say
TO KEEP ME AWAY
TO KEEP ME FROM YOU
TO KEEP DOWN
TO KEEP ME AWAY
All you could see was
a friendly smile
A crowning on the queen
and a faceless dance on the floor
A pounding on my heart
and a jackhammer on my soul
A land full of no remorse
and a lake full of desire
What was the answer
when I asked you
What did you say to me
I can't remember it all
Everything thats said
won't keep me away
Won't tell me which way
What is right and wrong
No one could ever
TELL ME THE TRUTH
no one would ever
KEEP ME AWAY
All of the people
TRY TO ACT THE SAME
Thats not enough
EVERYTHINGS OK
Then I look
around
There you are
there I'm not
I wish I was
but I never could
I was left
for one who did
I only dream
for thats what I am.

| most of my work I would want to make it into a song. My friend already came up with the beat to one of my poems..so you never know. |
