Topic: LostLove

I thought my dreams had slipped away
And you just wanted to move on
Then something else appeared last night
I awoke to a new dawn.

It wasn’t in the words you said
But how your words came out
It made my lost heart skip a beat
Not sure what that’s about.

Does it, could it, really mean
That maybe we’re not through?
Maybe time has passed enough
So I can say to you.

You know how much I love you
And all that I had to do
I spent each night just dreaming
Of forever, just us two.
And it seems like it’s been so long
Since I’ve been kissing you
I hope that soon I’ll hold you
So you can feel my heart...say Thank You.

I’m not about, to let my hopes
Rise too high to the sky
I’ve got my feet on solid ground
In case it’s still goodbye.

But something deep inside me
Is saying it’s not too late
Just take your time and hold on
Her love’s worth it to wait.

She has been the one whom
Has said those words so true
Actions speak louder than words
Here’s what I say to you.

You know how much I love you
And all that I have done
I’ve spent each night just dreaming
Of forever, us as one.
And it seems like it’s been so long
Since I’ve been touching you
Now lie your hand across my chest
So you can feel my heart...say Thank You.

Wonderful! This has the ring of maturity, of love that has made it past the first flight and fall. There is truth and sincerity in this, as well as a new strength. I hope you are rewarded, my friend.
