Pages flutter back and forth untouched
Sun seeps its rays in me
Give up rhinestone beads of sweat
From the corner of my eye
Immobile now and melting
Percolating in the sun
Like some cocooned thing come undone
Drawn outside to read a book
Long abandoned for a nap
Daydreams tantalize the mind
Possibilities reach the sky
Fantasy unfurls its wings
Fanning flames, stirring things
Lilacs perfume the air
Bees buzz in symphony
Ice cubes melting in a glass
Limbs relax to welcome sleep
Pages flutter back and forth untouched
