Lover's Vow

Contributed by brigitte7735 on Friday, 28th May 2004 @ 11:07:21 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Darkened history, seemingly different paths walked
Again pain had sliced our hearts, unbearably broken
Nestled in the basment, little girls cries are awoken
Muted too long, ignored, tortured, viciously mocked

Imagination's freedom, appreciation my possession
Taunt tormentors who ripped romance to a fragment
Christened by a kiss worthy of my delirious ascent
Heavenly hold confidently covers my transgression

Elixir of hallucinatory sweet sentimentality
Lingers longer then the moment meant to capture
Left in a whirlwind of harmonious rapture
Capacious artistry, witness to your immortality

Ostracized from reality, endure in our own domain
Neverending saga, allies in a self-created play
Knights of charm and chivalry how you far outweigh
Love's corporeal perfection I starved to attain

Everything you breathe life into I exist to flatter
Vitreous soul I shall never allow to shatter

My window is open tonight and there is a cool breeze flowing through it. Somewhere in the middle of reading this piece, I literally got chills. I honestly couldn't tell you if it was the breeze or simply the experience of reading this. I prefer to think it's the latter - because I am that moved what you've done here. Amazing. Thanks for sharing this will all of us... I am, honestly, not entirely sure we deserve it!

*stares at screen in quiet awe* I love this poem so much; I love the structure, the rhymes are immensly skilled, diction is outstanding...but most of all, I love the sincerity. Not only the sincerity of your words, but the sincerity I saw etched on your face when you read this to me today...

Truly, always, with love,
-Dan

i would love to tell you how much this has touched me and left me sitting in awe. But no words can be made or formed to express how brilliant you are. So i will just leave you with these simple words. Thank You.

I sat for 25 minutes in complete stillness and absolutely quiet trying to come up with a comment that would give what i just read by you compelete and utter justice, i believe if i had decided to do what i have, i would be sitting there for a few more hours.

As her teeth came down and tore a hole within my soul, i realised it was not to constrict me to her beliefs and ways, but to open my soul to the world that is amazement. After her bite, i remaind there forever.

Your beautiful write just bit me...

Dan has certainly become an inspiration for us all, i see his essence in your writes, not his structure or style, but i see his essence.

A beautiful piece, structure, R and R beyond perfection, this is truely an inspirational, passionate, emotional write

Luke
