In The Silence Of The Rain

Contributed by Meadowdancer on Saturday, 12th October 2002 @ 08:15:00 AM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

Yesterday my soul stood still
in the silence of the rain,
There is where my Master met me
and took away my pain.

Soft,warm droplets cascading down
on me,
But the cleansing of the spirit
is what I needed to see.
My mind opened up like a fresh
and bubbling spring,
Here is the song my Master sang
to me:

Take My hand listen to what the Spirit
sings sweet,
I am here for you My child to take away the pain;
For in My arms serenity you'll meet!

Holy Spirit rain down with showers
and blessings of love so tender,
Give up your woes allow the pain
and hurt to render.

Slowly as the rain subsides aglow
came all around,
Bathing in my Master's peace never
hearing a sound.
The smell of fresh wet roses engulfed
me like perfume,
I knew there could be no more pain
there wasn't any room.

So when the storm clouds gather round
you,
When the trials are hard to bear;
Bathe in the silence of showers of
My Holy Spirit and once again renew!!

Sounds like a great testimony! The Holy Spirit can really work in wondrous ways! I'm glad that He managed to take away your pain! Christ reigns! Christ reigns! This poem is so cool!
