right now..darkness seems the most comforting place
lillies bend, soft white dust spreads
your hands reach for my dazed fingertips frozen in the shape of fast black bends,
weaving through time
suspended beyond your view,
commanding the field, leading myself to certain death.
i feel no remorse in me.
how is it that i have a conscience
but no heart.

Quite well written . . . poignant, powerful, and fantastic imagery. Nice job.
And you are by no means alone in how you feel.
