Memorial Day Tribute

Today we remember the many fallen heroes,
Who fought for our freedoms and our way of life.
Many whom the call of duty took them away,
From their parents, children, husbands and wives.
Brave faced and strong they changed the world,
They showed the might and determination of the USA.
Proudly the flew the flag,
The same flag we place by their grave today.
Unselfishly they bearded our burdens,
Fought so that we may be free.
So we honor them today,
For what they have given to you and me.

| Thank you for that tribute.It was a beautiful poem.Wonderful way to honor those who have lost their lives for our country.My friend died at 19 about 2 months ago, he was killed in Iraq :(. The love of my life along with some friends are going back overseas again as well, i prey they are not going to be added to the list of fallen heroes, and that they will return home safely! |
