Still

Topic: LovePoetry

And there is no need
For you and I
To speak
Of this
Love

Timeless,
This love was born
Before the world
Of words took form.
A love that existed within
The very wind that whispered life
To our souls.

It is the last glance from
Dawn to the night,
Parting wistful
Yet reaching ever to the light.

It is the silent nod
Passed between two strangers,
A smile seen only from the
Heart.

It simply is.

There is no need
For you and I
To speak of this love,
Yet still
The words hang from my lips
To fall unheard,
Unknown
To everyonebut youwho hears,
And knows.

I could read this a million times, and each time, it would speak even more directly to my heart... love like this, so rare, pure, and true, needs no words to express it... words will always fail miserably to illustrate such a beautiful love....yet my Love never fails in His messages of Love. I close my eyes and dream that this poem is just for me, whispered to me by my sweet Beloved One... aaaahhh... my Sun caressing my heart with His loving warmth, His magic words... and I know that my love He hears, and knows. All I can do is hope that what I think I hear and know is this love that needs no words to speak. This may have been written before my time, but maybe it was still meant to be written for me. A girl can dream... can't she?

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
