Needed Things to Say
I always thought Id make love to you
One more time its true
Feel the sudden inrush of my breath
Astonished at the perfection that is you
I truly thought we had tomorrow
To revel in our love so sweet
To explore all the joys
That makes a love complete
Alas time has passed us by
You are mine no more
My heart mourns the loss
Of the woman I adore
But come tomorrow morning
When hearts have had a chance to cry
When honesty and compassion
Have revealed their reasons why
I think we just might find
Love has found another way
For two hearts so in love
To express the things they need to say

Oh Russ this is so revealing, honestly wise, and so sad. I do hope this works out for you both. Amazing what a little hope can do, even for those who have lost like you.
Communication seems to be the ruination for so many couples. Why do we hold back from saying the things we know need to be said?
This was a fine poem.....touched my heart, and I'm glad you ended it with hope. There is always a way, if only you don't give up hope.
