Know The Name Of Arrogance

Contributed by mdmorash on Tuesday, 1st June 2004 @ 07:04:55 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Dusty deadly biting hate.
Hidden loosely by dark gates.
Always wanting, nothings free.
Flowing shadows start to bleed.

Hearing, seeing, no ones there.
Looking, watching through the tear.
Knowing somethings moving past.
Silent screaming comes at last.

Breathing seething smokeless flames.
Pointing fingers show your shame.
Hiding, never giving time.
Hear the mortal clocks all chime.

Come and show us all your tears,
All your stops and all your fears.
Let us tell you what we know,
And we'll give you quite a show.

We will take you through your life.
We will show you ease and strife.
We will make it very clear.
We will show you where to steer.

There's a time for ev'ry song.
There's a choice, both right and wrong.
There's a voice we all can hear.
There's a ship moored at your pier.

Step aboard, and we'll set sail.
Step aboard, and hear the tail.
It's a tail you've heard before.
It's a tail you'll hear once more.

Know the name of arrogance.
It's a name with no pre-tense.
It's a beast that feeds on lies.
It's a beast that never dies.

Crying lonely bitter pain.
Now you know your mortal name.
Barren fields are yours to haunt.
Never finding what you want.

Show me what your reasons are.
Tell me why you've gone this far.
Do you wish to be alone?
So much hate to be atoned.

One last thing I'll say to you.
This you must believe is true.
Nothing is worth all this pain.
Speak the words and know your name.

"Barren fields are yours to haunt.
Never finding what you want."...how true...need these lines in todays world!!!...infact it is in poetic way a definition of arrogance...your style is mellow...beautiful!!
