MEMORIES As I travel through the country side Ill stop and take the time To listen to the winds blow Through the tall green grass Ill stop to pick some flowers As I journey on my way And smell their delicate fragrance Before they wilt away Ill sit upon the river bank And watch the sun go down As my mind it often wanders And drifts back into time Ill ramous in memories Of days now long gone by Of when we shared lifes simple things Like the stars up in the sky Or walking in a meadow On a sunny summer day Or holding hands and laughing While we watched our children play If it wasnt for those memories My life wouldnt be worth while For they keep me young in spirit And smiling all the while
