Sara has marks on her skin
And bruises that show
Her emotions hidden
So that no one will know
Being chased around
She cries out her pain
With one loud scream
She runs through the rain
To her advantage
Her friend Marie hears
And she can't help
As Sara sees her friend's tears
Marie Hollers to look out
As Sara's mom grabs a gun
Threatens her own child
This game is no longer fun
Thinking of Sara's safety
Marie acts that second
Knowing later is too late
Her shirt now crimsoned
With her best friends blood.
