Right Here Now ---------------------- Painfully I missed the first time you walked And sadly the first time you talked But Im right here now
Unfortunately I missed your first baseball game And at the awards banquet I missed hearing your name But Im right here now
Im sorry I missed your first day of school Or the talk with your teacher when you broke the rules But Im right here now
It killed me to miss your first bike ride And all the father, son meeting I wasnt at your side. But Im right here now
On the day of your graduation I was out of town At a business meeting is where I could be found But Im here now
On your first day of college I was absent again And in your first game in football I missed your big win But Im here now
Im here now, but where are you? Too busy for me, somehow I knew it was true
I thought being a good father Was giving you all of your wants and needs It never occurred to me what you wanted was me
