She watches them walk away hand in hand and wipes a tear from her eye
He was supposed to be hers to hold and kiss, her guy
Shell always love him
Even when her life grows dim
Shell never forget the one who stole her heart
He had her right from the start
But he only used her to get to her best friend
Now she doesnt know if her heart will mend
But as she glances at the happy two
She knows she can always begin anew
But this is her friends true love, where her heart truly lies
So she glances into her new guys eyes
And realizes it was for the best
Theyll always be the second best, so shell let it rest
