To The One I Lost and The Bullet I Found

Contributed by paper-heart-hero on Saturday, 5th June 2004 @ 05:06:46 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

I shot the driver and Im beggin you again
To take me home tonight for old times sake
Soak my clothes in gasoline, slowly strike the match
And tell me Im everything you hate

Even these damaged eyes can read your perfect lips perfectly
You said you loved me once but now you just keep hurting me

Am I the reason or just in the way
Is this the season or just one more day
For you to kill me slow, without letting me know
Why Im dying
Why am I dying

I felt your fingertips touch the bullet hole
And you said goodbye so slow
With a straight face and dry eyes this time
You didnt say no
Today was the best day for me to go

The sky is falling down and every drop burns
And the stars are fading as a welcoming note
If you see the girl with my heart in her hands
Tell her I love her, and Ill miss her the most

Am I the reason or just in the way
Is this the season or just one more day
For you to kill me slow, without letting me know
Why Im dying
Why am I dying

I felt your fingertips touch the bullet hole
And you said goodbye so slow
With a straight face and dry eyes this time
You didnt say no
Today was the best day for me to go

Today was the best day for me to go

Yup James, I'm commenting again.

"Even these damaged eyes can read your perfect lips perfectly

Something about those lines echo in my head and through my blood to my heart, and thats where they weigh the most. You have a way of doing that to me through your poetry. And I love every moment of it. Thank you for writing the way you do. It speaks volumes into my heart. I relate. I feel. You're so real. :)

Thanks again James.

Lindsey
