Im looking at an empty bottle, I think ill grab just one more
I hear a knock and I give my hopes up as I run to the door
Its not you once more.really, what was I thinking?
Heartbroken againI guess Ill get back to drinking
No I wont say a prayer for us now
Because I know well see each other again
Ill wait till I say goodbye once more
I know thats when the true pain will begin
Wow look at that, another case Ive put down
Im still disheartened, youre no where to be found
I had the world in my hands and I threw it all away

I dream of the day we live together, but I know its just a dream
For some reason god has another idea for me, a different scheme
Id give anything to be with her, I wish somehow we could be
The spell she has on me, Im hooked I wish she could just see
No matter what happens in this life, I know it will work out
She completes me, the only thing my lifes all about
Even if we dont get to be together through the rest of our years
I know in the end, god will make sure its worth all my tears
Hell make sure we meet again, and live forever in bliss
While life may be breathtaking, a greater plan exists
So even if we never meet again in this life Somehow I know god will make it all right
Because in time I know one day my life will fade away
And no matter where you aresomehow youll hear me say
Past forever I will love you, past forever Ill be here
Past forever I will wait for you, on the other side of tears

Oh wow, Military, I know this feeling VERY well. It's very difficult to open your heart and your soul up again when someone has ripped them apart. But even I have faith that I will love again sooner or later. So will you. This poem was so bittersweet and I could relate excellently. Thank you for sharing it.
