In the darkness
Of the flashes and neons,
Faint Mermaid moans
Rasp in the eye-balls,
And dwindle into the Abyss.
Through the sound of silence,
Tears shriek into the ears
Of the Echo,
Calling a deaf Goddess,
And her musketeers:
How could the whole domain
Shrink into one deep Abyss?
How could you lower your torch
In such a gloomy reign?
When dark lights,
And mute sounds condone,
Only true men and women
Dare to stay on,
And say, for America, No!
