I promised never to tell
It doesn't matter to who
And everyday is just another battle to get through
Your life is a mess, you are a mess
Drinking your coffee, typical damsel in distress
Fighting back your every tear
"Oh God, how unlucky I am to be here!"
And here I stand
Looking for someone to pay
And so this ongoing battle continues today
Your life is a mess, you are a mess
Typing on your laptop, typical damsel in distress
"I wish I was dead, I hate my life"
Misery is everything you wish to thrive
I'm tired, I'm stressed, oh God my life's a mess!
Life's a chore, life's a whore, life's a ***** second guess
And here I lay down in my grave
Life is brave and I am afraid
Lead me to where I will be saved
Everything I am, is everything you made.
So we're all a mess, you are the mess
Maybe life is the damsel in distress.
