Please Don't Try and Leave

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I know this world can be so hard
And the cuts in your life have left you scarred.
But please dont try and leave again
You know with me you have a friend.

I have seen you choked and about to cry
Questioning it all and screaming out Why?
I know the madness that can get in your head
The feeling youre clinging to sanity by a thread.

Ive tasted that bitter thats mixed with the pain
The despair then the anger thats hard to contain.
And Ive felt the bite of a love turned away
I remember the hurt, the despair, the dismay.

Ive mourned the loss of a girls childhood
How it feels like youve done all that you could.
I can see that in ways youre holding on tight
But sometimes you just want to give up that fight.

I want you to know that there is a way through
I know because Ive traveled the path too.
So reach out when you feel youve had enough
Because Ill walk with you even when the times rough.

Do not worry if you stumble or fall
I will be there - all you need do is call.
Sometimes our goals are hard to obtain
But please dont try and leave me again.
