Foolish girl, you never thought that quite
So readily youd be left that night,
And no option taken on a future date.
You want to believe too much,
Thats your trouble, mate,
You invest everything in a single touch,
As if theres some kind of bond
Between you, when its nothing of the sort.
Thats not saying shes not fond
Of you, but give it some thought,
And youd see youre being rather silly,
To think that after one brief embrace
Shed give herself to you willy nilly.
Now just you go and wipe your face.
Dont try to kiss me,
Not if you wont miss me,
No more: Baby, youre the one,
Only to become a figure of fun,
You must expect me to resist,
Being no more than a name on a list.
