I thought I could move on
Forget all about you
Forget all about the hurtful things youve done to me
But I cant!
Something about you keeps me stranded here
Cant move on, cant hate you, cant let you slip out of my life for good
Cant stop loving you and counting the days
Counting the days since I saw you last
Counting the days since our last hug, last kiss
Counting the days since our last goodbye
Counting the days since your last phone call
Counting the days til I see you or hear from you again
After everything youve put me through
I still dream about you
I still wish that you were the one I could run to for protection and love
I still wish things were the same with us.
I wish I could just see you once more
Tell you to your face how much I love you and how much you mean to me
Let me hear it for myself from your lips, that you never cared about me or loved me
That I didnt mean anything to you!
I know you did care about me, or possibly loved me
Im not the only one who thought that either
You wouldnt get protective and jealous
You wouldnt look at me the way you did
If nothing was there!
Everytime my phone rang and it was your name on my caller ID
Butterflies would fill my stomach and I would get the biggest smile on my face
You used to make my dullest days bright once more
When I would see you, my knees would get weak and shaky
My heart would begin to race, and I would sometimes be speechless for words
I mean you held me close like you didnt want me to go away
You kissed me like I was someone you loved
You hugged me was as though you always wanted to be with me
You looked into my eyes like you were trying to see into my heart
After all the eyes are the window to a persons soul
If only you knew that you were already there, so what were you searching for?
The day we said our last goodbye, not knowing it would be the last
You acted as though you never wanted to leave.
So how can you go and say now,
After all that we went through
That I meant nothing to you!
Maybe once you admit to me, and yourself
And you honestly can look me in the eyes and say I meant nothing to you
I can finally move on
As painful as it will be
Knowing you really are no longer, and never will be in my life again
I will finally be able to move on with my days and forget about you
But until then
Im stuck here waiting for that answer
The one I dont know if I will ever get
The answer to my question
Did I really mean nothing to you??

That is soooooo my situation....just the ending he left I asked if he still loved me...he does he wants me to move with him when Im 18 but the whole goodbye thing...I hated that...but yeah if you read my stuff you know what Im talking about ....

| I think this is something alot of people can relate to, I know I can. I often find my poems are inspired by these same thoughts. this is a great poem very emotional and I thank you for sharing.A++++ |

I really liked these lines:
You looked into my eyes like you were trying to see into my heart
After all the eyes are the window to a persons soul
If only you knew that you were already there, so what were you searching for?
They are so true. And it's odd, yet so very realistic how you cling to the thought of just knowing, just being sure. I hope things turn out well for you.

Second poem I read from you and it's really weird how much your poetry reflects my heart's sadness.I love your verses,how much you write as if you write for me,and as much as I would love to tell you what you might need to hear to feel better,I can't because all that you've described here is exactly what happened to me.If you ever want to talk,pm me,I would love to chat with you.Very nice poem,
