deeply saddened eyes
turn thier way towards me
one question in my mind lies
what happened to the way she used to be?
your eyes take me on a journey
they travel through your soul
your eyes, themselves,
write a story,
a story no-one knows
as your soul blossoms in your eyes
i see troubles arise
clouds linger overhead
live roses, now lay crumbled and
dead.
your eyes no longer reflect the
ocean of happiness that they held
they no longer hold the stars
of wisdom
everything seemed to melt
your voice no longer sings a happy song
but instead one of
sadness.
no-one thought that all along
somthing like this could happen
so as your song fades
and the silence in the air thickens
seconds before it plays again
i`ll tell you the secret of riches!
everything happens for a reson
God has his plan
he has made season upon season
in a simple flick of the hand
he has placed together
a reason for your stay on earth
his plan strted way before
your birth.
he has put together angels
to help you on your way
and when times get tough
he wants your faith to stay
as your problems trouble you,
you have to beckon God for help
but don`t worry becuase
your cards have been dealt
if he has put you thru it
he will see you thru it
he sewes a quilt to cover you, bit by bit
on your darkest nights.
he wraps you with his love
and wipes the tears of fright
so the next time 2 deeply saddened eyes
turn toward me
one question in my mind lies,
what happened to the way she used to be?
but now an answer comes:
all she needs is time....
