A Mothers Bedtime Prayer

Contributed by LILMAMAASHLEIGH on Tuesday, 8th June 2004 @ 11:26:06 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Now I lay my sweet baby down to sleep and pray the lord his soul to keep.
If I should leave his side before he is grown;
I pray the lord my soul to stay beside my son's side for all enternity, for I don't want to miss one laugh, one tear or one second of his life.
I wanna wipe his sad tearful eyes when he cries and console him.
I wanna recieve laughs and smiles from his happiness.
I wanna protect him when fear overcomes him or he needs me.
I wanna watch him grow into a young man and live his life til the heavens skies call his name.
I wanna hug and kiss him each day and night and hold him close and fill his heart with love and warmth.
This little boy is my everything, my heart, my every breath and my every reason for life and I never want to leave him.
Jesus tender shepherd hear me, bless thy little lamb tonight and through the darkness.
Allow thy to be near me til morning light and til its my time to join the angels above where I will rejoin my son as his gaurdian angel and guide him through life with never leaving his side again.
