A boy with a screaming tattoo
smokes his yellow stained paper
and chases rabbits
around the university
his name is Basha
and he crawled
on his Hercules knees from a jail in
Amsterdam
to experience
a college degree
like me
he doesnt know yet but
this world will cheat on him
and all the rabbits will die
in his arms
Basha
is an idiot savant
and his talent is biology
and memorizing airline schedules
Basha doesnt understand the world
and I like that he cant understand me
So me and Basha lay here in the sun with rabbits gnawing at our minds

| I enjoyed this poem. I would like it better without the last line-or an edited one. i think the ending was more powerful without it. Nice job |
