The Last Fall

The Last Fall

With the choices made
There is Hell to pay
The cycle continues the same
Making the same mistakes over
Wishing I would have learned before
My downfall is coming closer

There is Hell to pay
For ever believing in anything
When reality is a fake to the unseen
I shall never trust again
It's worth nothing in the end
I'm ashamed to live with it
But I can't help it
I can't prevent what's happened
But I can't help it
I'll make the same mistakes over
The cycle continues the same
I don't need this
But I deserve it

I've come so far
For ever living at all
My downfall

These thoughts swirl in my head
The choices then reply over
And I can't take it anymore
With the choices made
There is Hell to pay

This is life's way
Of getting back at you
This is life's way
Of killing you
There is no other way

You've come so far
For living at all
Your downfall

To Hell we fall
To Hell with it
Living was useless

We've come so far
For living at all
Our downfall
The last fall

I found myself frustrated with this - I want to say the same things you are saying to yourself - Nice job capturing that. It is always great to evoke something in the reader

The devastation felt here is very heavy. I am glad I do not see life in this vein. Reality is real and not always pretty but we can change our own reality to some extent. Mistakes are to be learned from. They make us stronger in the end. Good luck.

It seems you have ventured into the inner abyss, you are brave and rare.

Mistakes can make us stronger, but they can also make us so weak that we no longer want to venture on. At least...it's happened to me....some mistakes I can never get over, and never will.
I liked it. It sorta words what I believe, to an extent. Very good.
