You loved me and I pushed you away
It was something I had to do
Even so I hate myself
For the pain that I caused you.
You reminded me of my beauty
Each and every day
Perhaps you really loved me
I loved being treated that way.
And maybe I did love you
In the way that I still do
The way I'd love a memory
The memory of you
Now I want to hold you
Tell you everything's ok
Pleas just smile and tell me
That it's always been that way.

m/ on pink floyd!!!! I can totally relate to this poem, my best friend recently told me that he was in love with me, and i found that i had loved him all along but i never realized it, but there's something holding me back from being wtih him....so i can relate to this...i love this poem....it's beautiful
