Soldiers

Contributed by jishes_4_ever on Thursday, 10th June 2004 @ 05:03:46 PM in AEST
Topic: Patriotic

As you go to bed
They are fighting to save your lives
Far away from their husbands and wives
They are on call 24 hours a day
And most of the time
Things don't go their way.
But they fight just the same
To keep us safe
And all we do
Is spit in their face.
They're the American soldiers
Who keep us free.
Thank God for the U.S. Army.

Since I am a very patriotic person, I greatly appreciated this poem. I like it a lot, and I'm glad there are other people out there who support our Armed Services. These days it seems like all anyone can do is protest and view our fighting forces as monsters... and that's definitely not the case. Thanks for the wonderful read.

This is an awesome poem. I am thankful for all the U.S armed forces.
